Licensed clinical waste collection for Sheffield practices, labs and care homes, from the Royal Hallamshire area to Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster.
Licensed clinical waste collection for businesses, with full Duty of Care paperwork on every collection.

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust runs five hospitals: the Northern General Hospital, the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Weston Park Cancer Centre, Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and the Jessop Wing. The Northern General and the Royal Hallamshire are its two main acute sites. Sheffield Children's Hospital also serves families across the region.
NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board plans health services across Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster. The University of Sheffield trains doctors and dentists, while Sheffield Hallam University runs the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre at the Olympic Legacy Park. That gives the city a strong research base in health, physical activity and sport.
This spread of acute, cancer, dental and research activity means Sheffield produces cytotoxic, anatomical and laboratory waste alongside everyday sharps and offensive waste. Smaller producers are spread across the city's suburbs and the wider South Yorkshire towns. Each producer, from a large hospital department to a single treatment room, carries the same Duty of Care.
Each stream needs the right container and the right paperwork. We provide licensed collection, compliant treatment and full Duty of Care documentation. Your staff segregate each stream into its HTM 07-01 colour-coded container, and we issue hazardous waste consignment notes for every relevant collection.
From sharps in a single treatment room to infectious, cytotoxic and pharmaceutical waste across a multi-site estate, every stream is collected compliantly and backed by the right paperwork.
One accountable partner for clinical, hazardous and specialist waste, backed by more than 25 years of regulated waste experience.
Collections for clinics, practices, care providers, labs and workplaces. We never collect from households.
Sharps, infectious, offensive, cytotoxic, pharmaceutical, anatomical, dental and laboratory waste, collected under one arrangement.
Hazardous waste consignment notes and Duty of Care records for every collection, ready for inspection.
Independently verified to meet high standards of social and environmental performance.
Tell us what you produce, how it is stored and where your sites are. We will confirm the right streams, collection routes and paperwork.
We work with South Yorkshire businesses of every size that produce clinical, pharmaceutical or hygiene waste.
Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and the University of Sheffield's dental school sit at the heart of the city's dental community. Practices need a safe route for amalgam, extracted teeth, sharps and infectious waste.
Pharmacies and clinics that handle cytotoxic or cytostatic medicines need purple-lidded containers and careful records. We collect pharmaceutical waste from community pharmacies, homecare services and private oncology clinics across Sheffield.
Labs at the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam and around the Olympic Legacy Park produce samples, contaminated plastics and sharps. We collect each stream with clear coding and full traceability.
Care providers in Hillsborough, Ecclesall, Rotherham and Barnsley produce offensive waste, incontinence products and medicines. Regular collections and correct tiger bag use keep storage areas safe and tidy.
A simple setup with compliance built in from the first collection.
Share your waste streams, rough volumes and site details so we can match each stream to the right collection and treatment route.
Keep each stream in its own compliant, correctly labelled container in a secure storage area, ready for collection.
Collections are planned around your site, access and volumes, from a single practice to a multi-site estate.
Every collection comes with a hazardous waste consignment note and the records you need to show Duty of Care.
We cover the S postcode area, which includes Rotherham, Barnsley and Chesterfield, plus the DN postcodes around Doncaster.
From city centre clinics to practices in former mining towns, every site gets the same licensed service and complete paperwork.

If your Sheffield business produces sharps, infectious waste, medicines or hygiene waste, you need a licensed collection. Typical producers include GP and dental practices, pharmacies, care homes, private clinics, vets, physiotherapists, sports science labs, tattoo studios and aesthetics clinics. The legal duty applies whether you fill one sharps bin a quarter or several wheeled bins a week.
Use the HTM 07-01 colour system. Orange takes infectious waste that can be treated, yellow takes infectious waste needing incineration and tiger bags take offensive waste. Medicines go in blue-lidded containers, or purple-lidded ones if cytotoxic or cytostatic. Anatomical waste goes in red-lidded containers. Never mix streams, as one wrong item can change how the whole load is treated.
Each hazardous collection comes with a consignment note, which you must keep for at least three years. Non-hazardous waste moves on a waste transfer note, kept for at least two years. You also need evidence that your carrier is licensed. We supply all of these, so your Duty of Care records are complete and easy to find.
Yes. Cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines, and items contaminated with them, must go in purple-lidded containers and be sent for high temperature incineration. We collect them from your correctly labelled purple-lidded containers, with hazardous waste consignment notes for every load. This suits pharmacies, homecare providers and private clinics across Sheffield and South Yorkshire.
We agree a regular schedule with you, whether weekly, fortnightly or monthly, based on your waste volumes. Your business needs its own compliant colour-coded containers for each stream, each one correctly labelled, plus a secure storage area. We provide licensed collection, consignment notes and Duty of Care records. You can add collections or change the schedule as your business grows or your services change.
No. We only collect clinical waste from businesses. Sheffield residents who need sharps or other clinical waste removed from home should contact Sheffield City Council. Residents of Rotherham, Barnsley or Doncaster should contact their own council. Your GP or pharmacist can also explain how to get and return a sharps bin.
