Licensed clinical waste collection for Glasgow clinics, practices, labs and care providers across the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.
Licensed clinical waste collection for businesses, with full Duty of Care paperwork on every collection.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the largest health board in Scotland and the UK. It serves a population of around 1.2 million people and is responsible for 35 hospitals. That scale brings a wide range of clinical waste producers, from hospital departments to single dental surgeries.
Its flagship site is the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Govan, one of the largest acute hospital campuses in Europe, with the Royal Hospital for Children on the same site. Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Gartnavel General Hospital and Glasgow Dental Hospital and School add further capacity across the city.
The University of Glasgow trains doctors, dentists and vets, with its veterinary school at the Garscube campus. Research labs, private clinics, dental groups, pharmacies and care homes make up the rest of a busy clinical waste picture across the city and the surrounding towns.
Scotland has its own rules. Hazardous waste is known as special waste and is regulated by SEPA, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency. We provide licensed collection, compliant treatment, consignment notes for special waste and full Duty of Care documentation. Producers in Scotland must also follow Scotland's own healthcare waste guidance.
From sharps in a single treatment room to infectious, cytotoxic and pharmaceutical waste across a multi-site estate, every stream is collected compliantly and backed by the right paperwork.
One accountable partner for clinical, hazardous and specialist waste, backed by more than 25 years of regulated waste experience.

We collect from businesses across Glasgow and the west of Scotland that produce clinical, pharmaceutical or hygiene waste.
Glasgow Dental Hospital and School trains dentists in the city, and local practices need equally robust routines. They need a compliant route for amalgam, extracted teeth, sharps and infectious waste, and we provide collection and records for each stream.
Vet practices across Glasgow and the surrounding towns produce sharps, medicines, infectious waste and animal tissue. We collect each stream under the correct codes, with consignment notes that meet Scottish requirements.
Private GP, cosmetic, aesthetics and physiotherapy clinics in the West End and city centre produce sharps, dressings and medicines. We plan collections that suit treatment rooms and tenement buildings with little storage space.
Care homes in Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire and Renfrewshire produce offensive hygiene waste, incontinence products and medicines. Regular collections and correct segregation keep storage areas safe and costs in check.
A simple setup with compliance built in from the first collection.
Share your waste streams, rough volumes and site details so we can match each stream to the right collection and treatment route.
Keep each stream in its own compliant, correctly labelled container in a secure storage area, ready for collection.
Collections are planned around your site, access and volumes, from a single practice to a multi-site estate.
Every collection comes with a hazardous waste consignment note and the records you need to show Duty of Care.
We cover the G postcode area along with neighbouring PA and ML postcodes, including Paisley, Lanarkshire and Inverclyde.
From a single practice in the West End to care groups across Lanarkshire, we plan collections that suit your site and your volumes.

Any Glasgow business that produces clinical, pharmaceutical or hygiene waste needs a licensed collection. Typical producers are GP surgeries, dental practices, community pharmacies, care homes, vets, private clinics, research labs, tattoo parlours and aesthetics clinics. The Duty of Care applies in Scotland just as it does in England, whatever the size of your business.
Scotland has its own NHS guidance, but the colour system is broadly the same as HTM 07-01. Orange and yellow separate infectious waste by treatment route. Tiger bags take offensive waste. Purple lids are for cytotoxic medicines, blue lids for other medicines and red lids for anatomical waste. Your team is responsible for sorting waste into the right containers.
In Scotland, hazardous waste is called special waste. Each special waste collection needs a consignment note, which you should keep for at least three years. Non-special waste, such as offensive waste, needs a waste transfer note kept for at least two years. We provide the right documents with every collection, giving you a complete Duty of Care record.
SEPA, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, regulates waste in Scotland, including clinical and special waste. Your carrier must be registered with SEPA, and special waste must be consigned under the Scottish rules. Healthcare Improvement Scotland and the Care Inspectorate may also check how your service manages waste during inspections.
We agree a regular schedule with you, such as weekly, fortnightly or monthly. You need your own compliant colour-coded containers, correctly labelled in line with Scottish guidance, and a secure area to hold them between collections. We provide licensed collection, special waste consignment notes and Duty of Care records. If your waste volumes change, we adjust frequency so your storage area never overflows.
No. We only provide clinical waste collection for businesses. Glasgow residents who need sharps or other clinical waste removed from home should contact Glasgow City Council. If you live in a neighbouring area, such as Renfrewshire or East Dunbartonshire, contact your own council. Your GP or pharmacist can also advise.
