Driving the Circular Economy

We move beyond the take–make–waste model by keeping materials in use for longer, maximising value through reuse and recovery.

Cleaner, Safer Environments

Making a Difference Where it Matters

Every year, the Waste Experts team comes together for our eco clean-up, supporting sustainable waste management and protecting the environment.

This year, we covered 39 miles of beaches and parks, collecting 27kg of rubbish for energy from waste and safely treating 21 vapes - helping protect marine ecosystems and raise awareness of pollution.

Providing Educational Experiences

Taking a Look Inside Our Standard-Setting Recycling Facility

We regularly welcome customers, partners, industry bodies, schools and students to tour our state-of-the-art electrical waste recycling facility. These guided visits offer a behind-the-scenes look at how waste is safely sorted, treated, and recovered - from drop-off and depollution to advanced processing and quality control.

Led by our expert team, each tour highlights why correct sorting, contamination reduction, and education are essential to responsible recycling, giving visitors real insight into how compliant, high-quality recycling works in practice.

We create positive change by empowering people, supporting communities, and promoting fairness, education, and inclusion in everything we do.

Our commitment goes beyond profit; it extends to fostering social responsibility and making a difference in people's lives.

Enriching Lives

Supporting Local Charities

We’re proud to support local charities close to our offices and recycling facilities - organisations that often don’t receive the visibility or funding of larger national charities. By using our network to raise awareness and support their work, we help make a meaningful difference where it matters most.

We partner with charities that share our values and encourage our customers and suppliers to get involved, building stronger relationships and a shared sense of responsibility beyond day-to-day business.

Engaging Employees

Corporate Volunteering

We actively encourage our team to give back through a range of volunteering initiatives, with every employee entitled to one paid volunteering day each year. From supporting foodbanks and schools to taking part in charity walks and community events, our people choose causes that align with their values.

By working alongside local charities and community organisations, we help support social and environmental initiatives that create positive, lasting impact - strengthening our communities while bringing our team together around shared purpose.

Ethical & Responsible Supply Chains

We work only with suppliers who share our values - upholding standards around sustainability, fair pay, local sourcing, and the fight against modern slavery.

Sustainable Development

Building Responsible Supply Chains

We’re committed to building responsible supply chains that support both people and the planet. Wherever possible, we procure ethically, sustainably, and locally - investing in trusted suppliers and local labour while reducing environmental impact.

All supply chain partners must meet our strict compliance and social value standards, including ethical trading practices, modern slavery commitments, and payment of the real living wage. This ensures our customers receive a reliable, compliant service powered by the best technology and shared values.

Professional Development

Developing Leaders from Within

We invest in the growth of our people through accredited leadership and management programmes. All supervisors and managers at Waste Experts have completed, or are working towards, Level 3 or 5 ILM qualifications - combining practical skills with proven leadership frameworks.

With a strong promote-from-within culture, we prioritise internal progression and ongoing development, supporting our team to build confidence, improve performance, and step into future leadership roles.
