Lampcare UK was founded in Scotland in 2000 to provide sustainable light recycling. Dedicated to reducing waste and promoting a greener future, Lampcare UK became a leading provider of functional and eco-friendly lamp recycling services. Committed to quality and sustainability, they offered solutions that met customer needs and benefited the planet.
In 2004, City Electrical Factors (CEF) became a major shareholder in Lampcare UK, enabling service expansion and market growth. Founded in 1951, CEF is a leading UK distributor of electrical products. This partnership diversified product offerings and met the growing demand for light recycling solutions, combining the expertise and resources of both companies.
By 2013, the company rebranded to Electrical Waste Recycling Group (EWRG) and became the first in the UK to process Flat Panel Displays (FPDs) with government approval. EWRG's state-of-the-art facilities and trained personnel ensured top environmental and safety standards, solidifying their position as a leader in electronic waste recycling.
