Licensed clinical waste collection for clinics, practices, care providers, laboratories and workplaces across the UK, with full Duty of Care paperwork on every collection.
Licensed clinical waste collection for businesses, with full Duty of Care paperwork on every collection.

Every business that produces clinical waste has a legal Duty of Care for it, from the moment it is created until it reaches a permitted treatment facility. That means segregating it correctly, storing it securely, using a licensed carrier and keeping the right paperwork.
Waste Experts arranges licensed clinical waste collection for businesses of every size, from a single dental surgery or tattoo studio to multi-site healthcare groups, laboratories and care providers. Each stream is collected under the right EWC code and travels with the correct consignment or transfer note.
Because we also manage hazardous waste, WEEE, lamps and batteries, healthcare and research sites can bring their specialist waste under one accountable partner, with one point of contact and one set of records. We collect from businesses only and never from households.
From sharps in a single treatment room to infectious, cytotoxic and pharmaceutical waste across a multi-site estate, every stream is collected compliantly and backed by the right paperwork.
One accountable partner for clinical, hazardous and specialist waste, backed by more than 25 years of regulated waste experience.

Clinical waste is waste that poses a risk of infection or contains medicines or chemicals, along with sharps. It includes infectious waste, sharps, cytotoxic and pharmaceutical medicines, anatomical waste, dental amalgam and contaminated laboratory waste. Offensive waste such as PPE and sanitary waste is not infectious but still needs its own compliant route.
Any business that produces clinical or offensive waste needs a compliant collection. That includes GP and dental practices, private clinics, pharmacies, care homes, vets, laboratories, tattoo and aesthetics studios, occupational health teams and workplaces with first aid rooms.
The HTM 07-01 colour codes show which treatment route each stream needs. Yellow is for waste that must be incinerated, orange for infectious waste suitable for alternative treatment, purple for cytotoxic and cytostatic waste, yellow and black for offensive waste, red for anatomical waste, blue for non cytotoxic medicines and white for dental amalgam.
Hazardous clinical waste travels with a consignment note (a special waste consignment note in Scotland) and non hazardous streams with a waste transfer note. Keep consignment notes for at least three years and transfer notes for at least two. We provide the records you need to show your Duty of Care.
