Licensed clinical waste collection for Leeds clinics, practices, labs and care homes, covering the city and its surrounding West Yorkshire towns.
Licensed clinical waste collection for businesses, with full Duty of Care paperwork on every collection.

Leeds is a major healthcare centre for West Yorkshire. Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust runs Leeds General Infirmary, St James's University Hospital with the Leeds Cancer Centre, Chapel Allerton Hospital, Seacroft Hospital, Wharfedale Hospital and Leeds Children's Hospital. It also runs the Leeds Dental Institute.
Health services across the region are planned by NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. The University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University train medical, dental and health students. The city's Innovation Arc and the Nexus innovation hub are bringing hospitals, universities and businesses closer together around health and life science.
Behind that estate sits a large network of community providers. GP surgeries, dental practices, pharmacies, care homes and private clinics all produce clinical or offensive waste. Many share premises in busy suburbs such as Headingley, Roundhay and Horsforth. Each one carries the same legal duty as a hospital, even if it fills only a few sharps bins a month.
Shared premises make mistakes easy. Waste in the wrong bag, a missing consignment note or an unlicensed carrier can all cause problems for every tenant. Each site gets licensed collection, a compliant treatment route for every stream and full Duty of Care documentation.
From sharps in a single treatment room to infectious, cytotoxic and pharmaceutical waste across a multi-site estate, every stream is collected compliantly and backed by the right paperwork.
One accountable partner for clinical, hazardous and specialist waste, backed by more than 25 years of regulated waste experience.

Sharps, infectious, offensive, cytotoxic, pharmaceutical, anatomical, dental and laboratory waste, collected under one arrangement.
Hazardous waste consignment notes and Duty of Care records for every collection, ready for inspection.
Independently verified to meet high standards of social and environmental performance.
Tell us what you produce, how it is stored and where your sites are. We will confirm the right streams, collection routes and paperwork.
We collect from any business in Leeds that produces clinical, pharmaceutical or hygiene waste, whatever its size.
The Leeds Dental Institute trains clinicians in the city, and practices across Leeds need equally high standards. They need a safe route for amalgam, extracted teeth, sharps and infectious waste, and we provide collection and records for each.
Community pharmacies in Leeds deliver vaccinations, health checks and other clinical services. That creates sharps, medicine returns and swabs. We collect pharmaceutical waste and sharps under the correct waste codes, while your team keeps each stream in its own container.
Research teams at the University of Leeds, Nexus and across the Innovation Arc work with cultures, reagents and contaminated plastics. We collect laboratory waste under the correct codes with documentation that supports your own audits.
Physiotherapy, aesthetics, cosmetic and private GP clinics across Leeds produce sharps, dressings and medicines. We plan collections around the compact storage in treatment rooms and shared clinic buildings.
A simple setup with compliance built in from the first collection.
Share your waste streams, rough volumes and site details so we can match each stream to the right collection and treatment route.
Keep each stream in its own compliant, correctly labelled container in a secure storage area, ready for collection.
Collections are planned around your site, access and volumes, from a single practice to a multi-site estate.
Every collection comes with a hazardous waste consignment note and the records you need to show Duty of Care.
We cover the LS postcode area and neighbouring parts of WF, BD and HG.
From city centre clinics to practices in market towns such as Otley and Wetherby, every site gets the same licensed service.

Leeds businesses that handle sharps, infectious material, medicines or hygiene waste need a licensed collection. That includes GP surgeries, dental practices, pharmacies, care homes, private clinics, vets, physiotherapists, laboratories, tattoo studios and aesthetics practitioners. University spin-outs and life science firms in the city also produce laboratory waste that must be handled under the Duty of Care.
Start with where the waste is going. Orange is for infectious waste that can be treated, while yellow is for infectious waste that needs incineration. Offensive waste goes in tiger bags. Medicines go in blue-lidded containers unless they are cytotoxic, which need purple lids. Anatomical waste needs red lids. Your staff must sort each item into the matching container before collection.
Keep every hazardous waste consignment note for at least three years. Keep waste transfer notes for non-hazardous waste, such as offensive waste, for at least two years. You should also record that you checked your carrier's licence. We send the right documents after each collection, so your Duty of Care file is ready for inspection.
Yes. Many Leeds practices share a building with pharmacies, dentists or community services. We can arrange separate collections and documentation for each tenant, or a shared arrangement if the building manager prefers. Either way, every producer keeps a clear record of its own waste and its own Duty of Care responsibilities.
We agree a regular schedule that suits your volume, usually weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Before we start, make sure you have your own compliant HTM 07-01 colour-coded containers, correctly labelled, and a secure storage point away from patients and the public. We provide licensed collection and full Duty of Care documentation. You can ask us to review the arrangement at any time, for example after opening another site.
No. We only provide clinical waste collection to businesses. If you live in Leeds and need sharps or clinical waste collected from your home, contact Leeds City Council. Your GP practice or community pharmacy can also tell you how to get a sharps bin and where to return it.
