We started in 2000 recycling lamps in Scotland. Today we treat every WEEE category in-house at our own permitted facility, alongside batteries, lamps, solar panels, high voltage equipment and hazardous waste.

Launched in Scotland to provide sustainable lamp recycling services.
CEF Becomes Major Shareholder
City Electrical Factors partnered with Lampcare, enabling expansion into broader electrical and lighting waste services.
Rebranded to Electrical Waste Recycling Group (EWRG)
Became the first UK company approved to process Flat Panel Displays (FPDs), solidifying its leadership in e-waste.
Acquisition of Lumicom
Integrated the Lumicom WEEE producer compliance scheme, further growing e-waste compliance and recycling capabilities.

Shaun Donaghey
Shaun leads Waste Experts, WERCS and the Electrical Waste Recycling Group. He has over 20 years in senior roles across WEEE recycling, compliance, waste and manufacturing, and runs the business on passion, humour and a belief in never giving up.
