Specialist vape and e-cigarette recycling for retailers, distributors and producers across the UK. Fire-safe Vape Vessel containers, nationwide collection, and full hand dismantling at our AATF, meeting your obligations under WEEE Category 15, the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005, and the Single-Use Vapes Ban 2025.
The Challenge
Every vape thrown into general waste carries lithium-ion battery risk, regulatory exposure, and lost recoverable material until it's properly recycled.
A single damaged or punctured vape battery can trigger thermal runaway above 600°C in seconds. Discarded vapes now cause hundreds of bin lorry, transfer station and warehouse fires across the UK every year. Mechanical shredding makes the risk worse. Only hand dismantling fully removes it.
Used vapes contain nicotine residue, heavy metals and traces of vape liquid that classify them as hazardous waste under UK regulations. Disposal in general waste breaches the Hazardous Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2005 and the Special Waste Regulations 1996 (Scotland).
Vapes contain lithium, copper, plastics and electronic components that are genuinely valuable when separated cleanly. Hand dismantling allows clean separation of each material stream, batteries to specialist treatment, plastics to recycling, electronics to AATF processing, keeping resources in the circular economy.
