Nationwide collection and WEEE-compliant recycling for LED luminaires, fittings, and lamps. Full Duty of Care documentation, 390+ CEF drop-off points, and one point of contact across every site.
The Risk
Every LED luminaire skipped without proper documentation is a legal and environmental risk. Businesses that dispose of LED waste incorrectly - even unintentionally - are in breach of UK law.
Under the WEEE Regulations 2013 and the Environmental Protection Act 1990, UK businesses are legally responsible for every piece of lighting waste they produce. LED luminaires and lamps are classified as WEEE - they cannot go into general waste or skip bins.
LED luminaires contain recoverable aluminium, copper, glass, and circuit board metals. Without specialist WEEE recycling, these materials are lost to landfill rather than being recovered and returned to UK supply chains.
Without a licensed carrier and an AATF-issued recycling certificate, your business cannot demonstrate compliant disposal at audit. Waste transfer notes must be retained for a minimum of three years.
