Electrical Waste Recycling
In addition to our existing services, Waste Experts is committed to contributing to environmental sustainability by incorporating electrical waste recycling more frequently. Our dedication to environmental responsibility has led us to develop what is widely regarded as the best in class WEEE treatment plant and Europe’s largest lamp recycling plant.
As an Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF) and an Approved Battery Treatment Operator (ABTO), we take pride in being recognized by the Environment Agency as a benchmark best practice installation. We uphold the highest treatment standards outlined in BATRRT (Best Available Treatment, Recycling, and Recovery Techniques).
At Waste Experts, we are fully licensed and permitted to treat all WEEE containing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), ensuring that we maintain the highest recycling and recovery rates for these materials. Our commitment to environmental stewardship extends to irreversibly destroying POPs in accordance with EA and DEFRA guidance.
Taking a leadership role in the sector, Waste Experts actively collaborates with the Environment Agency (EA) and the Independent Council for Electronics Recycling (ICER) to produce guidelines for all treatment facilities across the UK. We believe that sharing knowledge and expertise in this field is crucial for enhancing recycling practices nationwide.
Moreover, to make it more convenient for our clients, we provide various on-site container solutions for the safe storage of WEEE, lamps, and batteries. Additionally, our national specialist fleet enables us to collect waste from anywhere in the UK, ensuring a reduced carbon footprint and the most efficient waste management solution.
As part of our unique and tailored service provision, we recognize the importance of data security when dealing with electrical items. Therefore, we manage the entire asset, ensuring both the secure destruction of data and the recycling of the physical asset and its components.
By consistently adding electrical waste recycling to our array of services, Waste Experts is committed to making a positive impact on the environment and contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
